The Melbourne Airport Authority is undertaking an update of its Airport Master Plan and Airport Layout Plan. This is an exciting time for the Master Plan Update! In addition to providing scheduled commercial flights and general aviation facilities, the Melbourne International Airport (MLB) is a center for aviation training, aerospace research and development, aircraft maintenance and repair, and new aircraft assembly. The Airport Authority’s website provides an excellent overview of the airport, flights, and services offered at MLB.

A workshop for the Melbourne Airport Authority was held on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 9 a.m. in the Orlando Melbourne International Airport Boardroom. This workshop was open to the public.

A Public Workshop was held on Monday, August 8, 2016 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the Melbourne International Airport Boardroom. The boards from this workshop are available here. On April 13, 2015, a General Aviation User meeting was held with local general aviation pilots and tenants to discuss present and future facility and service needs that should be considered in the Master Plan Update.

Surveys for GA users, FBO and Service Providers, Aerospace Tenants, and the General Public can be found under the "Public Participation" tab and can be submitted on-line, or to the address on the survey. Keep an eye on this website, as well as the airport's website www.mlbair.com, for future developments.
